Andrew Durbin is a poet, novelist, and the Senior Editor of the Americas for frieze magazine. He is the author of Mature Themes (Nightboat 2014) and MacArthur Park (Nightboat 2017), which was a finalist for the 2018 Believer Book Award in fiction. His writing has appeared in Artforum, BOMB, Boston Review, Los Angeles Review of Books, Mousse, Out, Parkett, Triple Canopy,and elsewhere. He has written monographic essays on a wide-range of artists, including Ed Atkins, Barbara Hammer, Anne Imhof, Robert Longo, Jacolby Satterwhite, Manuel Solano, Wu Tsang, and others. A co-founder of Wonder Press, he is the editor of Kevin Killian’s collected memoirs, Fascination (Semiotexte 2018), and the five-part chapbook series Say hi to reason and bye to everything (Capricious 2016). From 2014 to 2017, he served as the director of Company Gallery, where he organized exhibitions by Barbara Hammer, Yve Laris Cohen, Evelyn Taocheng Wang, and more. He writes a regular column on the weather for The Believer.
