Montrealer Erín Moure has published 16 poetry titles in English, a book of essays, a memoir, and has translated 15 books of poetry into English from French, Spanish, Galician and Portuguese. Her work has received the Governor General's Award, Pat Lowther Memorial Award, A.M. Klein Prize twice, and has been a three-time finalist for the Griffin Prize. Recent works are Insecession (BookThug, 2014), an autobiography and poetics published together with Chus Pato’s biopoetics Secession, and Kapusta (Anansi, 2015). New in 2016 are translations of François Turcot’s My Dinosaur (BookThug) from French, of Chus Pato’s Flesh of Leviathan (Omnidawn) from Galician, and of Rosalía de Castro’s New Leaves (Small Stations) from Galician. A 40-year retrospective of her work in poetry, Planetary Noise: The Poetry of Erín Moure (edited and introduced by Shannon Maguire), is forthcoming in 2017 from Wesleyan U Press, as is her translation of Brazilian Wilson Bueno’s polylingual Paraguayan Sea (Nightboat).
